Thanks for the offer of support from Levington but I am looking forward to a single handed sail.  In company ..

Hi Nick and Fairey Mary
Thank you for the offer of a berth on the evening of the 26th, which I am pleased to accept. I shall be on the quayside early am on the 26th, unless you need help sailing from Levington to the event before the 26th.
Cheers

Hi Bernard

Looks like you have a berth on Mary.

I too have two spare berths for the Friday / Saturday nights, and at least one spare seat for the race. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Cheers

Nick

Great Bernard, I am assuming you will stay on Mary on the 26th, see the fireworks etc.  We will try to get a good spot.

No pressure on the crewing, olympic level fitness will just make me look bad.  I would prefer to have a boat load of observers enjoying themselves than to win.  Besides my navigation strategy is basically "Follow Nick".  I know he will be following Jane ;-)

Hi Nick and Fairey Mary,
I had planned to arrive around lunchtime on the 26th, and have booked accommodation in Colchester to overnight on the 26th, and be there at the regatta again on the 27th for breakfast.
However....as Fairey Mary may be looking for crew for the race, I am considering changing my overnight to the 25th to allow for arrival early on the 26th to join Fairy Mary as crew for the race. The start is around 10:30, so I could be on the hard at West Mersea by 7am if needed to join. I am fairly mobile, and would happily help crew if required.

Let me know your thoughts....
Regards Bernard Marshall.

I am possibly going to need some crew on the day..

Things are on track for Mary to be there and I have sent in my form and I know they have received it.  At the moment I look like I have 3 spare beds for the night before and after the race.  I could do with a hand on race day.  Bring your own sleeping bag and pillows all beds have foam matresses.

Lets just hope the weather will be good for it.  Whispers are that it could be a good year.

Cheers,

My plan is to have Mary in the water for then. I will be needing fish & chips..

I have booked holiday from the previous wednesday until the following tuesday.  See my blog for progress or the want of it..  Not sure what is happening for crew on the day...
