Calisters stern

The laminates on the stern repair look stunning, just as I was impressed when Adrian Rivett did the same on Amber Ellen A161 many years ago.  The rest of the work you have done is of course to an…Continue

Dear Colin Twyford,

Thanks for your king mail ! Good to here from you. Dad told me of you - many times. I love his articles in your magazine.

I am glad you had success in selling your boat - if you have the time - please suggest any tips you might think useful for us to help the sale along (price, contacts, etc).

with warm regards, Pia

Dear Commodore Colin,

Much Regret Unable for West Mersea as have just returned from ten days cruising the Kiel area of the Baltic.

I acquired MISTURA 5 years ago in the Clyde. Sailed to North West and based her eventually in Liverpool Marina. Two years cruising Isle of Mann, Lakes and N Wales. Sailed south to Solent for Summer 2013. Had intended to come to east coast but damage to hull and need for comprehensive fettling resulted in trailering her home to Manchester.

Invitations from friends to sail on their larger, modern and comfy craft have resulted in MISTURA laying ashore for 2 years but am determined to get her afloat again next season and cruise the East Coast. I hope to meet you then.

Hi !

Can you let me know your Treasurers name as I understand I owe !

Also your web site, which I find over complicated, does not list your officers ?

Hi Colin,

So sorry that once again I won't be with you at the AGM. However I still have the Fulmar and may return to the UK so don't write me off entirely! Very best wishes to all at the Dinner for fair winds in 2015,

Many thanks Colin,

the ninth owner? wow, tracing her history is one of the things on my list, including her build date. Dave did do a few bits, some of which I have removed, including the remnants of an engine, which is something I need to replace. as regards relaunch, provided i can obtain a suitable engine, I hope to get a full season of local cruising here in the Sunny South East of Ireland from her. I will be looking for info and help so don't stray TOO far from your computer !

Epoxy resin did wonders for the top6 ft I lost last season.
9 knots on the way to hull at Easter in hail was exhilarating . Back home being painted now - ready for water in a couple of weeks - hopefully east coast or anywhere out of the rain!

Hello Colin,
Bernard is fine thank you, albeit a little lonely. The weather in Switzerland has been poor since he arrived this year. A89 is still in Switzerland and I am encouraging him to sail her for as long as he can. I am going to visit him for 4 days tomorrow. He would welcome visits in Switzerland from yourself, John or anyone he knows from the Association.
