It's just one more day and we're in November, having launched Solone in her new port just last week we were keen to get her out . So after preparations and a night on the boat we all set off , that is myself , William 8 and Lauren 15. The weather was great for us , not a wave and temperatures of low 20s. It couldn't have been better for introducing the children to sailing . The Atalanta was great , easy to handle and just great fun. We all slept aboard in port that evening , watched a Gil in the aft cabin and ate a good dinner. Some what cold though as temperatures dropped to 5 deg. Next we'll take a small oil filled radiator and plug into the port electric.
The next day my wife collected the children and my friends Sam and shreya arrived for a days sailing . Winds of 15 to 20 knots with a swell of 1 meter . All I can say is superb !! The Atalanta feels very stable to me and handles like a dream . I'm also surprised at how speedy the can be in a blow . A great day and a real fealing that I have made a great choice in buying an atalant
